You Say Goodbye and I Say Hello
Cypress, TX ~ Katy, TX ~ It’s always bittersweet to say goodbye to a partner due to life changes, but the upside is we also say hello to a wonderful new partner.
Sign Chick was founded in late 2012 by Alison C. in Cypress, TX. In the past four years she has built a successful yard sign rental business. During this time she was also a college professor and owned a second business, The College Scout. As is often the case with focused women, both businesses became successful. As a result, it became necessary to choose one business on which to concentrate. Offering high school juniors & seniors comprehensive college consulting is where Alison’s heart has been since 2003 and accordingly, she resigned her position as a professor and sold Sign Chick to Lisha Lupher. We will really miss Ali and wish her all the best in the future.

Lisha is a life-long Houstonian, as well as a wife and proud mother of three, two daughters and a son. Prior to becoming a stay at home mother, Lisha was a human resource manager at a family owned construction company. She held that position for five years.
Lisha was first introduced to stork rentals a few years ago by a friend. The idea of owning her own stork rental business was sparked, but it wasn’t until Sign Chick was for sale that the idea became a reality. Lisha stated that she was able to walk into a thriving small business due to the time and effort that Alison spent building it and she is really enjoying being in business again after a 7-year absence.
Lisha has been at the helm a little more than a month and she is really enjoying feedback from her customers stating how much they enjoyed their storks or birthday signs. Speaking with excited parents or grandparents on the phone or meeting them when she delivers a sign is the best part of her work day. Lisha further shared that the joy the signs bring to her clients is contagious!
I asked Lisha what she has planned to continue the growth of Sign Chick. She is currently advertising at Zapp Hall in Warrention for Antiques Week. She will soon participate in several fundraisers with the donation of a sign rental. Two of the fundraisers include the North Cypress Hospital Project Pink 2016 and the AK Buddy Brown Classic benefiting Klein ISD. Her gender neutral stork is currently on display at Freckles Boutique in Cypress to help celebrate their 10 year anniversary.
Lisha is excited to announce the addition of a flamingo sign to her flock. She will also soon have on hand a line of adorable cupcake signs that can be customized for any occasion. Lisha is looking forward to the growth she will experience in the future and she is excited to continue to bring joy to her customers in the greater Cypress area, including Katy, Tomball, Waller, Hockley, Cy-Fair, Jersey Village, Copperfield. She is thankful to the Lord for truly blessing her and her family.
